Away They Go x2

We've been trying to get Braeden, our 6 year-old to let us take off his training wheels. He says he's scared and doesn't want anything to do with even trying! So, with Grandma being here, she kept telling the boys yesterday when they were riding that she thought they could ride without the training wheels. Carsen agreed to try. It took him 2 tries, we let go of the seat and off he went.

While Carsen was figuring out how to get his feet down when he stops, Braeden went up by the garage and Grandma, and while grabbing his elbow and knee pads, said, "I'm just a little scared." He proceeded to get his bike so we could take the training wheels off, hopped on it and took off just like his little brother.

I have a feeling this may be a precedent for a lot of things physical in their life! Little brother shows big brother how it's done! I'm SOOOOO proud of them both. We knew they could do it, it was just a matter of trying. They're both pros now. Carsen even got on his bike and got it going all by himself, too.

It is so freeing when they can ditch the training wheels. We have to do bike swapping when the weather is more predictably warm and hopefully get Jeremy off his training wheels. It's kinda neat to see how your boys progress with these things. My oldest is my physical guy though.

Oh my goodness! Way to go boys! And way to go Carsen for "leading" the way! So cool!
