Despite the previous post, Grandma eventually had to go home. None of us wanted her to, but it's just the way the cookie crumbles when you live so far away! There were a few emotional goodbyes . . .
. . . And off she went.
We had such a great time with her here. When Gaven woke up this morning, I was standing in the hallway with him and asked him, "Gav, where's Grandma? Where is she?" He leaned over my shoulder and tried to get a look out in the living room, as if he thought that was where she would be. (Sorry if that give you tears, Mom, it does me, too)
We're glad you came to see us, Mom, it was really special, and thanks to everyone at home who sacrificed having her gone for so long.

That's SO hard when they go home! Moms are the best. Glad you got to do lots of fun things together while she was in town.
Oh wow so sad to see tears in her eyes. I'm sure that was so difficult to have her leave but how special to have a grandma that loves her grandkids so much. :)
