2008 Firetruck Parade

We were SOOO excited this year for the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Firetruck Parade. The parade runs on Seawall Blvd. which is only 2 blocks from our house, so we met up with some friends in our parking lot and walked up to the parade. As you can see, Gaven was captivated by the parade environment!
Braeden and Carsen stood attentive, waiting for the engines to pass.

I think I hear them coming!!

"I hear them, Carsen, they'll be here soon!"

"Here they come, wave..."

All of the fire engines and trucks had their sirens and horns going. They even threw beads for the kids to pick up.

We were so excited that Aunt Debbie could be here to share in the parade with us.

Grauntie Debbie (grandma/auntie) knows how to keep two little boys happy. Some Goldfish should do the trick.

One more photo before we head home. It was a beautiful day out... we considered ourselves lucky to have avoided the rain... and in turn, we had beautiful sunshine. It was still a bit chilly, but much better than last year when we were bundled and huddled under a blanket.
