We decided to celebrate Gaven's birthday early this year while Grandma was still here. Our big gift to him was his bed and all his bedding that he got a few weeks ago, but my mom and dad got him a few things, and we thought it would be fun for Grandma to see him open them. Saturday morning, we made him hide his eyes and then surprised him with the new basketball hoop from my mom and dad.
First shot
First shotSome funny things Gav says:
When he doesn't know the answer to a question you ask: "I no not know!"
He's on a "smells like" kick. If he smells you peeling an orange, he comes into the kitchen and says, "Mells like Orange!!" Or if we tell him we're going somewhere to eat something specific, as soon as we walk into the restaurant he'll say, "Mells like chicken nuggets!!" Or if he toots, "Mells like poo-poo!!"
We don't know where it started, but he now calls us "Sir" and "Ma'am." Mostly when you ask him if he has to go potty, "No Sir, No Ma'am." What a sweet little southern gentleman!
One of my favorites: Carsen got a Leapster Explorer for his birthday. He got the Toy Story 3 game to go with it. When the games starts, it says: "Disney Pixar's Toy Story 3." So anytime Gaven sees anything Toy Story, in the store, on TV, in the newspaper... etc... he gets super excited in a high pitched voice and exclaims, while pointing his finger, "Disney Pixar Toy Story 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

What a cutie. We have those SAME boots. They've lasted through two boys and probably will make it through with Brynlee too! I love little kids in boots. Too cute!
