Our latest...

Those of you that are on Facebook probably heard that our freezer turned off sometime this past Thursday or Friday. Luckily we caught it in time to salvage some of the food... others were not so lucky... leaving a wonderful smell behind for us to clean out. We finally got it all cleaned out and smelling fresh and new. We decided to move it in to the kitchen instead of in the garage. Our garage faces the afternoon sun and reaches temperatures that are off the charts. I've never put a thermometer out there, but I'm guessing at least 115. We're not sure why the breaker tripped, causing the freezer to shut off. The vents were very clean and it had plenty of room to breathe. We're hoping that bringing it inside will prevent any further food loss! Gaven was so curious as to what Daddy was doing, that he brought his snacks over and decided to take a peak.Last night was our Family Night. Our family night consists of a song and prayer to open, a short little gospel centered lesson, a closing silly song and prayer and some sort of family activity. We've been counseled by our church leaders that have a regular, weekly Family Night will bring our family closer together and bring the Spirit into our home... they are right! This past weekend, the boys played Twister at a friend's birthday, so we decided to break it out at home.
Daddy won the most games, although Mommy thinks if she had a healthy shoulder, she could have beat him. The boys were so funny doing it and had a GREAT time.
Even little Roo got in on the action!
This summer the boys have been trying to memorize a few of The Articles of Faith (beliefs of our church). They were encouraged to memorize as many as they are years of age. Braeden is more into it than Carsen, but they are both working hard. Braeden has 3 of them memorized, and is close on a couple more. Carsen does alright with the first (We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ and in The Holy Ghost), but struggles more with the others. I'm pretty proud of them for their efforts!!
