A trip to Austin

Tuesday and Wednesday were fun filled, action packed. Okay, so that may be a little dramatic, but lets just say that by the time 10pm rolled around, we were fading . . . FAST!

Carsen learned how to tell Kota, "No bite." It's cute because she doesn't actually bite, she gently nips, but since we're trying to teach her, I use the words, "No bite, Dakota." Apparently the "no bite" didn't work with Papa. We all walked out to get Braeden at the bus, and he was REALLY excited to see all of us. When we got back, the boys wanted to show Papa their bikes and ride-on toys. We got a little bit creative and had some fun. It's a good thing Papa is tall!

On Wednesday, we kept Braeden out of school and headed down to Austin to visit Zilker Park. We've heard good things about the park. It was fun, but a bit chaotic! You can't tell very well at all from the pictures, but there were a million school groups that were there, too. Now that I looked, you can't see ANY other kids in the pictures, but trust me, we weren't the only ones there. Gaven had a great time exploring on his own.

They have a little train called the Zilker Zephyr. It's a cute little train that takes you on a 25 minute trip around the park. That was definitely the highlight. They were setting up for Christmas and had a bunch of exhibits along the ride. Some of them weren't quite ready for viewing (Santa).

The boys had a great time, too. There was an old fire engine that they spent most of their time playing on. We ALL needed baths when we got home. The boys are well versed in "smiling for pictures." In the picture in the middle on the left, Braeden had found a "picture rock" and thought it would be a good rock for taking some pictures on.

Those are our adventures for the past couple days. We'll have more adventures to come, I'm sure.
