Around the House

In the excitement of the new house and our "big move" there is sadness that we will be leaving our wonderful pool here at our apartment complex. It will be a change not to have a pool 'around the house' that we can just walk around the corner on any given day. Gaven seems to just love the water. The water is still a bit chilly, but the weather was perfect for a swim. The little girl in the photo happened to be at the pool with us. Her parents were asking us how old Gaven was and when we told them 4 1/2 months, they said that their little girl was about that, too. Come to find out, they were both born on the same day.
We had so much fun this weekend. Our friends traveled out of town to find a house for residency, so we watched their girls. They didn't get here until late Thursday night, so Carsen had to be patient. They were in school until the afternoon on Friday, so by the time they were done, he was itching to get the toys out. Gaven, on the other hand, was a little less than impressed.

Here they are, having some fun at the pool.

These next photos are from the other night when Jason was getting Roozer (another nickname Carsen came up with - more on that later) ready for bed. He couldn't get his shirt on because he kept pushing off of his tummy in order to contort far enough backwards to watch TV.

So Roozer started when I was calling him Gavarooni, Carsen started calling him Gavaroozer. It actually comes out more like Gavawoozer. We've shortened it to Roozer and it's kinda started to stick, at least for me.

Yesterday after church, the kids set up the GeoTrax and had some fun in the living room.

Today, Carsen was sad that it was finally time for the girls to go home. I think without having Braeden around, he really latched onto having the girls here. Luckily, though, Nanu sent a little package in the mail that had some stickers for him. The girls left and the first thing we did was open the stickers and play.

THANKS, NANU!
