Last Saturday became a day in the sun and water. Because here in Texas, you can't really be in the summer sun and NOT be in the water! In the morning, we headed to one of the splash pads with some friends to kick off "Summer Mini-Camps" that some mom's at our church have organized.
Gaven was very bashful around the water, which kills me because he isn't afraid of swimming pools AT ALL!!

In the afternoon, we had been invited to Carsen's teacher's kids swim party at one of their friend's houses. It was gorgeous out... in the high 90's, a perfect day for a swim party.

This running jump explains why I was so baffled that Gaven was afraid at the splash pad. (It looks like there wasn't anybody there in all the pictures, but there were actually about 15-20 kids in the pool most of the time.)

We had a great time!!
