While Papa was here, we went to eat at "The Spot." We discovered this little restaurant right on the Seawall a few months ago. Their burgers are to die for! Nanu and Papa also spoiled us with onion rings, fried pickles and hush puppies. Needless to say, we all left S-T-U-F-F-E-D!!
Back in November of 2006, Braeden made "nanner puddin" with Nanu for the first time. Dena's mother, Great-Grandma Burdette (Buns), used to make banana pudding for the grandkids all the time. Since she has passed away, Dena thought it would be a good idea to carry on the tradition with her grandkids. Braeden couldn't wait to leave church on Sunday and hurry home to make "nanner puddin" (the southern pronunciation).
Here he is enjoying his creations. Let's just say that it hasn't even been a week, and that big ol' bowl you see in the picture above is almost gone. We LOVE "nanner puddin!"
